Artist / Crafter: Kimmi Lohman

Here is another awesome Black and White greeting card that Kimmi rubber stamped in May of 2009.

All of the stamp images on this card are from the “Just Cause I Like You” rubber stamp set from Stampin’ Up. The finishing touch is the black and white checkered ribbon neatly tucked through a slot in the corner of the card.

There is just something about black and white cards that draw my attention … the same as a black and white photograph. I think it is the stark contrast combined with a simple cleanliness that actually gives me a feel of complexity.

Artist / Crafter: Kimmi Lohman

This is a greeting card that Kimmi handmade in 2009 for a Black and White swap that she took part in.

She utilized the simple design to emphasize the black-n-white theme of the swap. Materials used were black cardstock, white cardstock, and a black and white flower ribbon. The stamped bird image is from Inkadinkado Rubber Stamp Set – Birds Galore. She went with the square shape instead of a traditional rectangular card.
