This is another Christmas Greeting Card that Kimmi made in 2006. It is a different version of the other “2006 Christmas Card” that we posted to the gallery. It features stamped images from Stampington rubber stamps and a narrow, checkered ribbon. The papers have been layered at an angle and made to look as if a gift tag has been attatched to the front of the card.

Artist / Crafter: Kimmi Lohman

Kim handcrafted this beautiful Artist Trading Card (ATC) around 2004. She used heavy 140lb cardstock and then used flower rubber stamps to create the images on the card. The flowers were all stamped in beautiful Spring and Summer colors with Brilliance Ink Pads … which were also used to distress the edges of the ATC. The two largest flowers … which are paper embellishments that have been attatched using double sided foam … feature metallic highlights that match the iridescence of the inks perfectly.

This card is probably my favorite Christmas card that Kimmi has handmade.

The Christmas tree rubber stamps, banner and word rubber stamps, and the border rubber stamps all come form the Posh Vertical Santa rubber stamp set. The trees and stars were all embellished with glitter glue after they were stamped in the different colors and were applied to the card via 2 sided foam which gives the card a 3D feel. The front-fold of the card is smaller then the back of the card which allows the border image (which is applied to the inside of the card) to show through to the front.

This was our family Christmas card for 2006 … handcrafted by Kimmi. It features stamped images from Stampington rubber stamps and a wide ribbon in “spruce green”. The torn edges of the layered papyrus colored paper have been distressed with Tim Holtz Distress Inks.

I just love the old, distressed feel of this card. Makes for a great “Victorian Christmas” !

This artist trading card (ATC) has some stunning color that is beautifully offset by the bold, black outline of the angel. Kimmi handcrafted this card in April, 2009 using hand painted and textured 140 lb. canvas paper for the foundation. ( Kim has sets of these handpainted and textured backgrounds available for sale in our ETSY Store ) From there she rubber stamped the postage marks and applied the butterfly and angel paper scraps. The final touches were the ribbon, the gold stars and the word “thanks”. The postage marks come from the Sunday International Postal Rubber Stamp Set.

This ATC came to life in April of 2009. Kimmi started by hand painting and texturing 140 lb. canvas paper for the foundation. ( Kim has sets of these handpainted and textured backgrounds available for sale in our ETSY Store ) From there she added the vintage style scraps from Artchix and scraps from magazines. Of course this Artist Trading Card would not be complete without adding some metallic brads and stars, ribbon to the end of the card, and a few more embellishments.

She started by hand painting and texturing 140 lb. canvas paper ( Kim has sets of these handpainted and textured backgrounds available for sale in our ETSY Store ) and then added some scraps that she “reclaimed” from a paper dollie. From there she added a vintage style scrap image from ArtChix and paper flower embellishments that are attached with gold and silver metal brads. The edges of the ATC are adorned with gold stars and black lace graces the bottom.

From there she added the textured paper heart, the lace design on the side and the postage stamp scrap from Art Chix.
