I followed this squirrel for a good 10 to 15 minutes … just waiting for him / her to stop running around for a minute. Finally got the shot here with the squirrel resting in a small grove of Redwood trees.

This picture was taken at the Big Basin Redwoods State Park. This park offers some very nice camping and hiking in the Northern / Central California Coastal Mountain Range. The park is west of San Jose and North-East of Santa Cruz.

This is the small creek that runs behind the lower campground at big basin Redwoods state park. I believe that this is the same small creek that feeds Sempervirens Falls as shown in some of our other pictures. I just love the creek at this point … all those little ponds that the water has carved out of the solid rock is real interesting.

This photograph is of Semervirens Falls inside the Big Basin Redwoods State park in Central California. This was in September so the water in the creek was quite low at this time … but still nice and serine.
