Minnesota Vikings 17
Pittsburgh Stelers 27

This win for the Steelers was either “luck” or darn good defense at the end. I’m gonna go with the defensive statement. If it wasn’t for 3 big … very big … stops by the steelers defense then this game would have easily went to the Vikings. ( an interception and a fumble returned for touchdowns) The Steelers offense didn’t really play “bad”, they just didn’t do a heck of a lot … and they are stil not running very much. Mendenhall the leading rusher for the Steelers only had 10 carries in this game. For that matter Adrian Peterson is not being fully utilized by the Vikings either. It would seem that Peterson should be carrying 25 times a game …

* Adrian Peterson (RB, Min) – 69 rush yards, 60 rec. yards, 1 TD
* Sidney Rice (WR, Min) – 136 yards
* Mike Wallace (WR, Pit) – 72 yards, 1 TD

San Diego Chargers 37
Kansas City Chiefs 7

Hmmm … no real surprise here. I’m really bored with the Chiefs to tell you the truth. Matt Cassel (QB, KC) has looked nothing like the multi-million dollar quarterback that he is supposed to be. Of course his surrounding cast isn’t very good either. To be honest, the Chargers are starting to bore me a little too … and I’m a fan. They are up one week down the next ….

Fantasy Studs:
* Philip Rivers (QB, SD) – 268 yards, 18 rush yards, 3 TDs
* Darren Sproles (RB, SD) – 41 rush yards, 58 rec. yards, 1 TD
* Vincent Jackson (WR, SD) – 142 yards, 1 TD

Green Bay Packers 31
Cleveland Browns 3

Cleveland really put on a show. This was impressive. They put up … let me check here … 139 total yards. Hmm … nevermind

Fantasy Studs:
* Aaron Rodgers (QB, GB) – 246 yards, 23 rush yards, 3 TDs – (155.4 rating)
* Donald Driver (WR, GB) – 84 yards, 1 TD

San Francisco 49ers 21
Houston Texans 24

After getting blown out in the first half (0-21) the 49ers came roaring back in the second half but in the end it was not to be. Shaun Hill (QB, SF) was ineffective and ended up being benched in favor of quarterback Alex Smith. Smith led the second half charge and looked rather good. Smith may actually be a better quarterback then he was months ago … but I think it may not last.

* Alex Smith (QB, SF) – 206 yards, 3 TD, 1 int. – (118 rating)
* Matt Schaub (QB, Hou) – 264 yards, 2 TDs – (116 rating)
* Steve Slaton (RB, Hou) – 67 rush yards, 22 rec. yards, 2 TDs, 1 fumb.
* Vernon Davis (TE, SF) – 93 yards, 3 TDs
* Owen Daniels (TE, Hou) – 123 yards, 1 TD

Indianapolis Colts 42
St. Louis Rams 6

Another very predictable game. No one really thought the Rams would win this right ? Marc Bulger had another real bad game (thinking replacement yet ?) with a QB rating of 37 on 2 interceptions and 140 yards.

* Peyton Manning (QB, Ind) – 235 yards, 3 TDs – (116 rating)
* Steven Jackson (RB, St.L) – 134 rush yards (5.8 yards a carry)
* Reggie Wayne (WR, Ind) – 83 yards, 1 TD

New England Patriots 35
Tampa Bay Bucs 7

Ho hum … boring. This was not Josh Johnson’s (QB, TB) best day. He ended up tossing 3 interceptions and hanging a 29 rating in his trophy case. Tampa was just outclassed in this game … but I will throw a bone to the one person who caught a touchdown for the Bucs …

* Tom Brady (QB, NE) – 308 yards, 3 TDs, 2 ints. – (107 rating)
* Wes Welker (WR, NE) – 107 rec. yards, 6 rush yards, 1 TD
* Antonio Bryant (WR, TB) – 51 yards, 1 TD

Buffalo Bills 20
Carolina Panthers 9

Wow … Jake Delhomme (QB, Car) is killing this team. He threw 3 interceptions (no touchdowns) and ended with a 55 rating. Here is how bad Carolina stunk in this game … Buffalo had only 167 total yards to Carolina’s 425 and Carolina had twice as many first downs as Buffalo but only converted 3 of 12 third downs. The Panthers still couldn’t win this game. There really was only one stud in this game and that was DeAngelo Williams with 139 total yards and 1 TD. To think they only ran him 16 times …

NY Jets 38
Oakland Raiders 0

Well, this is typical for the Raiders this year. Is this something like their 5th shut-out so far ? Just kidding. The good thing is someone got smart and benched JaMarcus “Stinky” Russell (QB, Oak) during the game. He managed to toss 2 interceptions and rack up a splendid 31 rating before being replaced by Bruce Gradkowski. Apparently, though, he will be back on his throne next week. The Jets played a decent game … but then again they didn’t need to try very hard. Mark Sanchez (QB, NYJ) ran and threw for touchdown en route to a 114 rating on 143 passing yards.

* Thomas Jones (RB, NYJ) – 121 rush yards, 3 rec. yards, 1 TD
* Shonn Greene (RB, NYJ) – 144 rush yards, 2 TDs

Chicago Bears 10
Cincinnati Bengals 45

Cincy just demolished the Bears. ‘Bout all you can say about this. It is surprising to me because I though Chicago would put up more of a fight. The bengals had twice as many first downs and a 13 minute time of possession advantage over the Bears. Jay Cutler (QB, Chi) did not have a good day throwing 3 interceptions against 1 touchdown and ending with a 55 rating.

* Cedric Benson (RB, Cin) – 189 yards, 1 TD
* Devin Hester (WR, Chi) – 101 yards, 1 TD, 1 fumb.
* Chad Ochocinco (WR, Cin) – 118 yards, 2 TDs

Atlanta Falcons 21
Dallas Cowboys 37
