This photograph is of beautiful Grass Lake on a warm Summer afternoon.
We hiked to this alpine lake from our campsite in the Plumas / Eureka State Park out side the little town of Graeagle in the Northern California Sierra Nevada Mountains. If I remember correctly this hike took us a couple of hours to complete. It was a rather steep climb, I believe we gained about 1,200 feet over a distance of 1.5 to 2 miles. But the views at the lake are splendid !

Gorgeous picture! Looks like a great place to hike around.
Hi Stacie,
This is definitely a great place to go hiking ! This was one of the steepest trail-hikes that we have done, but well worth the views. I would love to return and go past the lake … up to one of those peeks and look down onto the lake.
